The Church has long been know as a bastion of power and grace.  It served as the voice of reason, warning and love.  It moves and with grace and embraces humanity with the love of Christ or has it done so? Never has the church been looked to and looked on  for answers more in this modern era.  A virus runs rampant throughout the whole earth and church and faith attendance has grown by leaps and bounds. In all of this however, how is it that  a spiritually hungry world has remained spiritually empty?  Who carries the load here?  who bears the burden? RELEVANT AND IRRELEVANT ALL THE SAME

Jesus fed five thousand with five loaves and two fish. Healed the lepers. Raised the dead.

Daniel was both a prophet and a politician in a godless empire.

Joseph helped establish a pagan empire.

Nehemiah was the cup bearer to a pagan king.

Paul was a Jew and a Roman. A Lawyer and Philosopher. An educator.

Luke was a doctor, a historian and a writer.

All were RELEVANT.

We were created to be RELEVANT. In a post-modern, self – conflicted world where the foregoing position to everything is that “nothing is right” and yet “everyone can be right” at the same time, the desire to be relevant and significant can be deemed to be selfish and self – uplifting or hateful and divisive. While this sad reality is unfortunate and cannot be evaded, it has taken its greatest toll on the church.
